CALEB The Science Club

CALEB The Science Club is a Christian outreach program involving students at all levels. Although there is a very important emphasis on the middle-school age, students at higher levels of education are actively involved. The older students help to nurture the younger ones, providing extremely valuable input while gaining invaluable information and experience themselves. Usually there are Medical and Pre-Med students in attendance. Their presence helps model what the younger students can achieve.
The children of Granny's House are personally invited to participate in CALEB The Science Club. In the past, Granny's House kids participating in this program have been to:
- The Columbia Area Career Center to learn about laser technology; each child made their own hologram!
- The College of Engineering to study nuclear energy.
- University Medical Center to study:
- Ultrasound Technology
- Pathology
- Radiology
- Short-Wave Radio
- University Library to research science information.
