Granny's House children, ages 8 and up, participate in Children of The Spirit, an inner city horseback riding program for children.
During this year-long program, "The Spirit Riders" learn basic to advanced horseback riding skills as well as all the responsibilities that accompany the sport of horseback riding: grooming, equipment care, history of the sport, physiology of the horses, etc. Throughout this year-long program, the children focus on the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, self-control, gentleness, kindness, goodness and faithfulness), and pick the ones they want to see blossom in their lives during each six-week session.
